locations. An example may be if a supply has excess

| Flex
Rates: Example
only of a Suppliers Conditions ~ Flex Rates quoted are
revised weekly and are subject to change between the
time a quote is sent and when a reservation is confirmed.
Quotes are valid until midnight of the week ending of
the week of the quote. The
benefit of Flex Rates is that you can take
advantage of lower rental rates; the earlier you book
your vehicle. If your travel plans are confirmed – why
not take advantage of the lower rates.
Amendments
prior to pick-up will be re-calculated at the Flex
Rate applicable on the date of amendment. This applies
to changing the Vehicle type, reducing the number
of rental days, changing pick up dates or changing
the pick up or drop off location. Where the number
of rental days is being extended, the extended days
will be charged at the original flex rate which applied
at the time of the original booking.
|
| Smart
Rates: As an example Backpacker Campervans use smartrates to determine the
daily rental rate. Backpacker smartrates are released
on each Friday effective for sale from the following
Monday. As such all Backpacker rates/quotes expire at
the close at the close of business on Sunday. The smartrate
for the entire duration of the rental is determined
by the date of pick-up, location and date of booking.
The daily rate will not change within one booking.
Amendments prior to pick-up will be re-calculated at the smartrate
applicable on the date of amendment. This applies
to changing the Vehicle type, reducing the number
of rental days, changing pick-up dates or changing
the pick-up or drop-off location. Where the number
of rental days is being extended prior to pick-up,
the extended days will be charged at the original
smart rate which applied at the time of the original
booking.
Smart Rates being similar to Flex are
based on availability -how far you book ahead - location
and many other things.

Third Party Insurance. We strongly recommend that all
people travelling in Australia take out Personal Travel
Insurance. |
| Is
Insurance Included When?
All
vehicles are insured for the damage to the vehicle or
to the property of a Third Party. Depending on the supplier
but generally speaking the hirer is responsible for
the first $5000.00 of the cost of damage to Third Party
property or to the rented vehicle, including single
vehicle accident, windscreen and tyre damage, towing
and recovery costs, theft, fire, break-in, vandalism.
This also includes the cost of the daily rental for
the period the vehicle is off fleet for accident repairs
(demurrage). The excess applies in respect of each claim,
not rental.
The
excess is applicable regardless of who is at fault
and must be paid at the time the accident report is
completed, not at the completion of the rental. The
excess will be refunded if we are successful in recovering
the cost of the damages from the Third Party. Please
note that Third Party Claims can take months to resolve.
When
No additional insurance is taken-
Security Bond:
The
full bond amount of A$ 5.000 will be charged to the
clients credit card on check out of the vehicle. After
completion of hire, provided no damage has been reported
to us by third parties, and after inspection of the
rented vehicle, the bond is refunded to the clients’
credit card.
|
|
Excess
Reduction Option 1:
Often the excess is reducible with a Excess Reduction
Option 1. It may for example reduce the excess from
$5000 to $2000 for say $25 per day extra. This amount
is often capped at 50 days. This will vary
between suppliers so please check your quote.
Excess
Reduction Option 2
- Security Bond:
A signed credit card voucher to the amount of A$ 2.000
will be taken. The bond will be charged only as a
consequence of an accident resulting in damage to
third party property, no matter who is at fault.
|
|
Excess
Reduction Option 2: Often the excess is
reducible with a Excess Reduction Option 2. It may
for example reduce the excess from $5000 to $Nil for
say $35 per day extra. The hirer will not have to
pay an excess for any damage to the vehicle, subject
to the exclusions listed below under 'EXCLUSIONS'.
This will vary between suppliers so please
check your quote.
Excess
Reduction Option 2
- Security Bond:

will be taken. The bond will be charged only as a
consequence of an accident resulting in damage to
third party property, no matter who is at fault.
Exclusions:
(Example only)
Standard Excess, Excess Reduction Option 1 &

Any
water related damage, which includes but is not limited
to: a) any vehicle submersion ~ b) creek or river

belongings we recommend the hirer does not leave valuables
in the vehicles and that they take out personal insurance.
3.
All
Excess Reduction is void if the terms of the Rental
Agreement are breached. The hirer will be responsible
for the total cost of any damage. This will also include
any damage caused by willful mosconduct (e.g. sitting
or standing on the bonnet or roof of the vehicle)
and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
4.
The
incorrect use of fuel (fuel being diesel or petrol).
The hirer will be responsible for any associated cost.

become bogged, regardless of the Excess Reduction
Package taken.

The
cost to replace keys which have become lost, or retrieval
of keys which have been locked in a vehicle.
7.
Overhead and underbody damage to the vehicle.

Bond Refund Procedure:
(Example only)
Charging of bond as a mentioned above. After completion
of repairs on the suppliers vehicle as well as on third
party property (if applicable) and provided the amount
withheld is higher than the cost for damages, the supplier
will credit the clients’ credit card with the difference.

of return of our vehicle only. Regardless of the insurance
option chosen we reserve the right to charge the client
for demurrage of vehicle. |
